The PE-03 is a microprocessor-controlled phacoemulsifier with 40 kHz ultrasonic emulsification. It offers four emulsification modes (continuous, pulse, linear and burst), with digital frequency tracing for smooth control of the process. A large TFT touchscreen gives access to up to 10 preset parameter sets, so the surgeon can save settings for different procedures.
The system includes built-in vitrectomy with an air-pump cutter and bipolar cautery, so one unit covers several steps of anterior segment surgery. An auto test checks tubing and handpieces for blockage or leakage before use. A peristaltic pump gives control over aspiration flow, which helps reduce anterior chamber shallowing during I/A.
For professional use by qualified ophthalmic surgeons.
